| Lost In This Song features the multi-talented ensemble GiveWay, comprising the four Johnson sisters, Fiona, Kirsty, Amy and Mairi, all apparently musical prodigies, as they started playing instruments at an age when most of us are contemplating entering Primary One or Two. Not only that, but they started issuing albums years ago, and can muster guest musicians of the order of Phil Cunningham, Marie Campbell, Ross Hamilton and Robert McFall.
Add in that they are also extremely attractive and really any critique would, I fancy, raise nothing but ire in the listening public. In any case, the talent they display on this album make fault-finding unnecessary, whether they are playing Fiona’s compositions or those of others, such as Sandy Brechin. |
