| Hebridean foursome Bi Beo rattle your eardrums with their second album Ma Sgaoil (Released, in English) and the good news is they are as stimulating as ever, with dynamic tracks in equally dynamic Gaelic; including a salute to the Isle of Skye, which is nice (and possibly verging on the rare) from a bunch of Uidhisteachs.
It’s also worth checking out their Alba Gu Brath (Scotland For Ever) before some Holyrood jobsworth decides its affectionate sentiments are too jingoistic and non-inclusive. Actually, it’s more than well worth checking out all the tracks on this CD, which despite the dozen listed amount to 13, with an instrumental version of the opening track at the end. As always there are bi-lingual lyrics, a boon to the Gaelic learner. |
