| The vibrant CD Pump Up The Accordion features the Fife-based Nackytoosh Ceilidh Band. Formed in 2003 by four guys with varying musical backgrounds, a factor demonstrated by their music, which explores their varied musical influences.
These include elements of jazz, Latin American, rock/pop and funk, all somehow worked into the parameters of traditional country dance band music -
look out for the funk rock bits! Not only are they up for any kind of gig, but they’ll even teach you to play the box, provided you can make it to Kennoway on a Wednesday.
For the record (and I hope there will be more than just this one), the line-up is Stewart Warrender on box, Stephen Hamilton on guitar, Colin Thomson on bass and Neil Ferry on drums. |
