Mulled Apple Recipe

For a non-alcoholic alternative to mulled wine, Cuddybridge Apple Juice has something rather special to share with us…

Graham Stoddart is the man behind Cuddybridge Apple Juices, and known locally as Mr Apple.

He and his wife hand-press the delicious variety of locally-grown apples, and their range of juices includes some unique flavours like sea buckthorn and apple, which has to be tasted to be believed.

Christmas is just around the corner, and our thoughts turn to entertaining – and in particular, serving tasty treats without having to spend too much time preparing!

With this in mind Graham has created just the thing for kids and designated drivers as a delicious alternative to mulled wine – and it’s ready in minutes.

Cuddybridge Mulled Apple Recipe

Ingredients

1 750ml bottle of Cuddybridge apple juice

1 tsp brown sugar

¼ – ½ tsp cinnamon

Lemon slices (optional)

Grated nutmeg to taste (optional)

Method

Pour the apple juice into a pan with the brown sugar and heat it gently.  Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the juice is hot (be careful it doesn’t burn your lips).

Add the cinnamon to taste and the sliced lemon and nutmeg if using.

Alternatively, you can use the milk frother on your coffee machine to make the mulled apple juice.

Star anise and cinnamon sticks make great garnishes along with a slice of apple.
