Afternoon tea at Fingal, Alexandra Dock

Invigorate your taste buds on board Edinburgh’s luxury floating hotel, Fingal, this Mother’s Day. Presented by the award-winning team at The Royal Yacht Britannia, Fingal offers a world-class foodie destination on Edinburgh’s vibrant waterfront, with all the glamour and style of a superyacht but with an air of old-world Art Deco elegance.
Served in The Lighthouse Bar, Fingal’s decadent afternoon tea sweet treats include lime and coconut verrine; pistachio and white chocolate macaron; and Valrhona Caramelia chocolate tart. Afternoon tea can also be gifted in the form of a voucher to use later in the year and nautical-themed cocktails and overnight stay packages are available, too.
Fingal’s Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12pm-4pm. Prices start at £40 per person for a standard afternoon tea, or £50 per person for a Champagne Afternoon Tea, including a glass (125ml) of Moët & Chandon Champagne.
Mother’s Day Lunch at Ondine Restaurant

Featuring a menu full of seafood classics, as well as some delicious seasonal additions, treat the special lady in your life to Mother’s Day lunch at the award-winning Ondine restaurant in Edinburgh. The De Capo Daughters, a piano vocal duo, will be entertaining guests, whilst Chef Roy Brett and his team will be serving a three-course lunch menu for £45 per person.
Based in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, Ondine offers the finest seafood and shellfish from the coasts of Scotland. Since opening over ten years ago in 2009, Ondine has received a number of top awards and has become a favourite with both locals and tourists looking for the freshest fish in the city.
Mother’s Day lunch or dinner at The Pierhouse Hotel & Seafood Restaurant
Port Appin, Argyll, PA38 4DE
Tucked away on the shores of Loch Linnhe, The Wee Hotel Company’s Pierhouse Hotel & Seafood Restaurant offers breathtaking views to the islands of Lismore and Mull. The small hotel and renowned Scottish seafood restaurant is one of Argyll’s most idyllic destinations, just a short, scenic drive from both Oban and Fort William. Menus are designed by Head Chef, Michael Leathley, to include the freshest langoustines and mussels harvested from Loch Linnhe and Loch Etive, as well as fine handpicked oysters from the oyster beds of Loch Creran.
The Pierhouse’s special Mother’s Day menu will be served with the restaurant’s signature warm welcome at both lunch and dinner, with dishes, including Loch Fyne smoked salmon and pan-seared rainbow trout, starting from £5.25.

New ‘Orchy’ Afternoon Tea at Bridge of Orchy Hotel

Recently appointed Head Chef and former BBC MasterChef – The Professionals contestant, David Hetherington, has made it his mission to create a foodie haven in the West Highlands. Served fireside, in The Orchy Bistro or even out on the terrace with its breathtaking views, Bridge of Orchy’s new Afternoon Tea includes a glass of Prosecco, a selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones, French macarons, billionaire’s shortbread and lemon meringue tart, as well as Gin & beetroot cured seatrout and cucumber pickle, and chef’s renowned haggis & black pudding scotch eggs.
