- The strangest thing to be left on a Scottish bus has got to be a bearded dragon! The exotic creature was inside a carrier bag on a Number 20 Lothian bus. SSPCA staff nicknamed the abandoned lizard, Blakey after a character from the 1970s sitcom On the Buses.
- Ed Sheeran has written a folk song called Aberfeldy about a holiday he had in the town. It obviously made a big impression as the singer also has a tattoo of the Aberfeldy whisky label on his arm.
- Edinburgh locksmiths, Timpsons in Nicholson Street, locked themselves out of the shop in 2019 and had to send for a locksmith!
