Still Game Live Smashes DVD Record

It’s good news for Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, better known as Still Game’s Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade.

Fresh from a recent win for their live show in Glasgow, the duo can now add the accolade of best-selling DVD to their résumé. Still Game Live in Glasgow proves there appears to be no end to the BBC series’ success selling in excess of 13,600 in its first week of release at the end of November.

“The box set has sold more copies in its first week of release than any other Still Game DVD releases,” Frances Cherry-Baker of the BBC said. “It could be set to become the best-selling DVD from the comedy series so far.”

Live in Glasgow marks a return for the Scottish sitcom after a seven-year hiatus. Filmed at the Hydro, the show makes use of both stage and screen to bring both the set and well-loved characters to life.
