A-Z of Secret Dundee: Nilupul Upstairs @ 51 Reform Street

Hidden away two floors up a tenement block in the city’s Reform Street is a tearoom that is an oasis of calm and tranquillity

This cafe at the Nilupul Buddhist centre has a large hand-painted mural and gentle background music, making it the perfect spot to recharge your batteries whilst on a shopping trip in town. It’s free trade and friendly with a great selection of teas including lemongrasss and ginger, and apple and mint.

Recently the cafe has installed new (and very comfy) up-cycled couches, tables and chairs which add to the relaxed atmosphere.

The perfect spot to recharge your batteries

Food-wise there is something for everyone from carnivores to vegans, including pitta platters and delicious homemade soup.

The cafe also sells Buddhist jewellery and artwork and runs Indian head massage and Reiki training courses.

Upstairs @ 51 Reform Street 2nd Floor, 51 Reform St, Dundee DD1 1SL.

Opening hours: Tues-Sat, 10am-4pm.
