Angus MacInnes, who starred as Gold Leader
Jon “Dutch” Vander in Star Wars, once owned a pizzeria in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket. Although Angus no longer owns it, Mamma’s Pizza still has Cheese 3PO and BBQ-D2 pizzas on the menu in his honour.

 

Will Fyffe, the man famous for writing and singing, “I Belong To Glasgow” was actually from Dundee.

Security guards barred Sir Chris Hoy’s way and demanded to see identification when he tried to enter the “Chris Hoy Velodrome” in Glasgow.

 

Sigurd the Mighty, a ninth-century Norse earl of Orkney, was killed by an enemy he had beheaded several hours earlier! He’d tied the man’s head to his horse’s saddle as a trophy of his victory, but while riding home one of a protruding tooth grazed his leg. Sigurd later died of an infection.
