Just as we’re beginning to recover from the stresses and strains of buying Christmas presents, it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day gifts for our nearest and dearest.
A cookery workshop in a Michelin-starred kitchen
If you’re looking for a love token with a difference, how about a cookery workshop at the Michelin-starred Kinloch Lodge on Skye?
Kinloch’s cookery workshop involves lots of tastings and chat while head chef Marcello Tully shares tips and tales from his thirty-year culinary career, including his time working with the Roux brothers, and finishes with a four-course lunch.
A two night dinner B&B package starts from £299 per person, balancing the morning’s workshop with plenty of time to relax in Kinloch’s magical setting or explore Skye’s wildly romantic beauty.
Frozen’s Anna and Elsa skate into Disney On Ice
Or if you’d like to treat the whole family to a special Valentine’s outing, Disney On Ice’s Magical Ice Festival is coming to Scotland in early March.
Kicking off in Aberdeen on March 11, this is the first Disney On Ice show to feature Frozen’s much-loved sisters Anna and Elsa and also includes everyone’s favourite characters from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Tangled and Beauty and The Beast and, of course, Mickey and Minnie.
A February 14 they will never forget
If you’d like to treat the love of our life to a February 14 they will never forget (and, we suspect, neither will your bank balance!), the Royal Yacht Britannia is exclusively available for one lucky couple’s ultimate Valentine’s evening.
A chauffeur-driven Range Rover will bring the couple to Britannia’s private quayside, where they will be piped aboard. An exquisite five course candlelit dinner with vintage Champagnes and wines will be served in the State Dining Room, followed by a spectacular private fireworks display.
The couple will then be whisked away to a luxurious suite at Gleneagles Hotel, where they will enjoy butler service, an indulgent champagne breakfast and a massage in the hotel spa… Price available on application!Sign up to our Weekly newsletter
