At Perth Concert Hall on Friday, Jan 27, you can catch this showcase of local, traditional music. The show will then head west for a performance at Celtic Connections in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday, Jan 29.

Peebles Outdoor Film Fest

Parlour Sounds

Now here’s something a wee bit different – Red Note Ensemble are presenting a multimedia project by Patricia Alessandrini involving kitchen devices in Woodend Barn, Banchory, on Thursday, Feb 2!

Sled Dog Rally

Now the largest event of its kind in the UK, Aviemore Sled Dog Rally races over 1,000 sled dogs in timed trials across Saturday, January 28, and Sunday, January 29.

Fife Food Festival

Pop into Younger Hall in St Andrews on Saturday, Jan 28, to sample and buy from over 45 purveyors of fine produce from the local area. You can also catch a live cooking demonstration by Jamie Scott.

Willie Wastle Burns Supper

If you still haven’t had enough haggis for one Burns Night then head Bowhill, Selkirk, for an “alternate” Supper on Saturday, January 28, with the hilarious IDEOMS Theatre Company.

Up Helly Aa!

If you were lucky enough to get a ticket to Shetland’s Viking festival on January 31 then we’re mighty envious. If not, you can watch the fire festival live online on their website.

The Scaffies
