As lockdown continues to ease and we begin visiting social spaces again, it’s time to start exploring what’s on across Scotland in this entertainment guide. This is The Cannae Miss List!

 

 

 

Bowhouse

East Neuk of Fife, Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 October

Over 40 of the finest food and drink producers and makers in Scotland will be present at the Bowhouse October Weekend on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October in the East Neuk of Fife for a celebration of ethical and sustainable food and drink. This month’s seasonal ingredients available from local producers and traders will include venison and other game, or organic mutton and lamb sourced on Balcaskie Estate by the Butchery at Bowhouse, orchard fruits in jellies and jams from Perthshire Preserves and root vegetables from East Neuk Market GardenBowhouse’s resident brewery and taproom, Futtle, will be opening their bottle shop for takeaway sales of their new foraged organic gose beer, natural wines, ciders and vinyl records. The newest Bowhouse addition, award-winning eco-store Grain and Sustain, will have a choice of over 250 sustainably and ethically sourced household and food products. Street food and coffee will be available from Moskito Spanish BitesFlahute Coffee and Fish and Frites.

Visitors can pre-order food and drink online at Bowhouse Link to get exclusive access from 9 – 11am on the Saturday. Bowhouse Link was launched during lockdown on the Open Food Network to enable customers to continue shopping from Bowhouse based and local artisan makers. Customers can shop Monday to Wednesday the week before the market weekend from a range of producers. Priority access for Bowhouse Link customers 9 – 11am on Saturdays; open access from 11am – 3pm on Saturdays and 10am – 3pm on Sundays.

The monthly Market Weekends at Bowhouse are free to attend, giving visitors the opportunity to meet, discuss and taste food and drink from Scotland’s best artisan producers. For added precaution and ease of use, a one-way system will be operating within the Market Hall, hand sanitiser points will be available throughout and contactless payment encouraged. Parking will be well spaced and there will be plenty of outdoor seating.

The McEwan family of Arnprior farm are all set for Arnprior Pumpkins annual October event.

 

Arnprior Farm Pumpkin Patch

Stirling, October 12

Scotland’s original pumpkin patch, Arnprior Farm, Stirlingshire opens on Monday 12 October 2020. More than 10,000 pumpkins have been grown across six acres of land at Arnprior Farm in a variety of sizes, perfect for Halloween, making hearty soups or for autumn decoration.

The patch will open to the public on Monday 12 October, from 9 am – 5.30 pm and will be open every day until Sunday 31 October. Tickets and car parking is limited, guests must pre-book their time and slot via www.arnpriorfarm.com. Parking is charged at £6 per car and redeemable against a pumpkin purchase. Pumpkins range in price from £5 to £12.

·       Friday 30 October: “Late-Night, Date-Night”, adults only date night with a folk band, gin bar, autumnal foods, plus pumpkin crafts
